No matter where you’re from–Rust Belt, Sun Belt, or elsewhere. No matter how you say, thanks, I hope you hear this bit of gratitude.
I delivered this blog in May, and like most five-month-old offspring, it is still in the babbling stage. During this developmental period, I’ve learned a lot about my native Rust Belt, its history and its present, and how it’s portrayed in fiction and nonfiction. I’ve called upon memories of growing up in Ohio–the distinct sounds and tastes that take a girl back home, if just for a moment. I’ve learned how I want to represent my home, creatively. I’ve learned blogging is much more than writing. It’s connecting. And I couldn’t do that without you.
Thanks for following!

You are welcome! From one rust belt girl to another, I appreciate you writing about our state. Most people that live here think it’s quite boring, but we do produce a lot of food here due to all of the farmland. There are also so many great attractions all over the state to visit and enjoy. I’m glad that someone is writing about it!
So thank YOU…it’s great to be a follower! ๐

Ohio is a state of wonders, isn’t it? (And not only the ladies it turns out!) From farmland–how could I have forgotten to salute my favorite Ohio apple, the Macoun, in my food post?–to the cities with their cultural attractions to the many historical sites, it’s been so fun to dive into my home state. I appreciate you reading along!

Ha! The Rust Belt is the (post) industrial upper Midwest of the U.S., basically anywhere there was steel production, mainly. I should clear that up for folks outside the U.S., shouldn’t I? Happy to have met you here. Keep keepin’ it real. Your site’s great!
