One of the things I know about writing is this: spend it all, shoot it, play it, lose it, all, right away, every time. Do not hoard what seems good for a later place in the book or for another book; give it, give it all, give it now.

I do too. I think the writer Benjamin Percy said something along these lines too, maybe in his book, _Thrill Me: Essays on Fiction_but I can’t find it.

A good quote. I tend to try and hoard my good stuff 😛

Right! Me too. I guess we have to have enough confidence in our selves as thinkers and writers to know we will generate new good ideas, that we won’t use them all up and one day be bone dry!

Yep. Agree. Don’t wait; write now. Everything we write makes us a better writer.
